“Healing isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon”
Sarah aims to build working relationships with her clients that reflect sincere, authentic human connections and are collaborative in nature. She approaches clients’ concerns in a manner that sheds light on their strengths and resources, their growth potential, and aims to bring balance to their lives. Sessions are shaped by the client’s needs and provide an open, flexible space that encourages them to bring up whatever they need at that moment.
Outside of sessions, Sarah spends her time chasing around her daughter, spending time with family, as well as coaching and playing soccer.

Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist who holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Carleton University.
Her own experiences as a player, coach, and therapist allow her to empathize with the unique demands athletes face. Having navigated major injuries and the transition out of high‑level sport, Sarah deeply appreciates how sport shapes identity, confidence, and connection to others. She believes that we can continue striving for growth in how we perform while also giving our personal needs and well‑being the attention they deserve—creating a fulfilling life both in and beyond sport.
Sarah has experience supporting teens and adults with emotional disruptions, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and general mental health concerns. Sarah has a special interest in sports performance and high-performance psychology stemming from her experiences as an elite athlete, coach, as well as through her education. She has worked with competitive youth athletes, collegiate athletes, Olympic and professional athletes, as well as individuals who have a general passion for sports and personal growth. When working with high performers and athletes she considers the overall mental health and well-being needs that are present, while appreciating the potential impacts felt on their performance.

The initial appointment involves a conversation to understand you and your particular situation, current problems, background, and your strengths and resources in order to develop an appropriate plan for treatment. My aim is to help you feel comfortable and safe to talk openly about your concerns.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically occur weekly or bi-weekly, although this depends on the nature of your concerns and may be more or less frequent. After the initial appointment, a session frequency plan can be established.
Regular sessions help to develop a strong therapeutic relationship and establish momentum towards your treatment goals. Session frequency may be tapered as you progress and become more comfortable applying what you have learned in therapy.
